What's new in 2.0

Below is a short list of some of the highlights of elvis 2.0. There is also a list of all major features.

Flagging
Quickly identify rights, status, source or any other characteristic for the assets you are browing. Flags give a visual hint about using visual flags. Flags are completely configurable visual representation of the values of certain metadata fields, making it easier to browse through search results
Perspectives
Configure and save preferences for the user interface and apply them to entire user groups. Perspectives save your general elvis layout, your favorites, your quick sorts, your search result view and the displayed metadata fields.
Collections in folder structure
Collections now show up in the folder browser making it very easy to browse through them like virtual folders.
Metadata panel
Metadata now has its own panel. This allows you to view metadata straight from the search results, film strip and any other place. It also makes it easy to change metadata for multiple files at once or to set metadata on collections.
Sharing content
Use elvis to collect content and e-mail a link to the content directly in elvis to a co-worker or a client. This content can be viewed in the web interface or in the AIR client. Permissions and expiration date to the shared content is configurable.
Metadata embedding
Metadata is embedded back into files and will stay with them wherever they travel, also outside elvis. Embedding behavior is configurable so you can prevent sensitive metadata from leaving your company.
